About Me

Hey y'all! My name is Katie Donnelly—the girl behind the camera! I started doing photography when my first daughter, Bailey Grace, was born. Back then I mainly took pictures of my own family. I quickly found myself taking a camera to all family events and events thrown by close friends. Eventually, I started offering family shoots for free because I loved it so much. Now, photography is my passion, my hobby—one of my “happy’s.” Pictures have the ability to freeze time and capture memories. That is what I love the most, capturing memories for others in a portrait. It brings me great joy. It even sometimes brings me to tears. 

The Name

How did I come up with the name, Graceful Lillie Photography? GLP is named in memory of my mother, Susan Gail and in honor of my children, Bailey Grace and Allie Caroline. My mother died from complications of Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago. My mom was my biggest fan and my girls inspired me to pick up the camera. The name Susan means "Graceful Lily". So, Graceful Lillie represents the meaning of my moms name. With the meaning of my moms name, I was able to incorporate my girls name as well. It was meant to be.
